As a new dawn shines at the home of Tamworth Football Club, we welcome the first visitors to The Lamb under new owners Dawn Group International (DGI).

On Saturday July 11th a new era begins at 3pm as Walton & Hersham take the trip to Staffordshire for our first home pre season game. To celebrate the beginning of this exciting chapter in Tamworth history, owners - DGI have covered all tickets for supporters wanting to attend this Saturday. We host the Surrey based side off the back of a 4-2 win away at Lichfield City FC on Saturday, which really impressed Tamworth boss, Andy Peaks.

Peaks said: “I was really pleased with the first pre-season game, it was great for 22 players to all get 45 minutes under their belt.

“The first four training sessions have been excellent but there Is no replacement for actual match day minutes in front of a crowd.”

Chairman, Abdullah Ashraf was also in attendance for our last outing on July 4th, Peaks added: “It was great to see Abdullah the new Chairman at the first friendly and it was equally impressive to see the number or travelling fans there to support the lads.

“I think everyone would agree there were lots of positives and it was clear to see that the new additions are going to improve the strong group we have returning from last season.

“As always there are areas we want to improve but it was a great outing and we can look forward to this weeks first home friendly against Walton & Hersham.”
