Tamworth were without a game at the weekend as their game at Gateshead was called off on Friday afternoon, due to a waterlogged pitch.

They are back at home for the first time since 10th October, where they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Barrow.

The opposition

Scunthorpe United are in their second season back in the National League.

Their lengthy EFL status, which included a record of multiple seasons in the second tier, came to an end in the 2021/22 where a 24th place finish in League Two sealed their fate.

They were relegated again the following season, finishing 23rd, however only spent two seasons before returning to the fifth tier in 25/26.

So far, after a fifth place finish last season that saw them miss out on playoffs, they currently occupy the relegation zone, sitting 22nd in the division, picking up wins over Boston United, Hartlepool, Sutton United and Solihull Moors.

Who's in the dugout?

Andy Butler has been in the role since 2024, having previously been caretaker manager of Doncaster Rovers men's team, and a permanent manager of the women's team.
