TJ Bramble’s late goal was not enough to come back from four goals down, and the Lambs walked away empty handed. Dyson expressed his frustration.

He said: “Tough game. Individual errors. We set up well, good training, and just not good enough. We all know what we’ve done wrong, we just have to put it right. The good thing about football is we’ve got Friday and Monday, so we’ll be after maximum points and get going again.

“Similar to Fylde. We had a lot of box entries and had some good play, but the score is 4-1. We’ve given three mistakes away, and it’s been four goals. We need to be better in both boxes, which we will be, but sooner rather than later.”

Bramble’s goal came in the 76th minute of the game as he spun round inside the box and struck the ball as it nestled into the top right corner.

Dyson said: “Good finish. We scored from a long free kick and then a little knockdown, so we are dangerous in scenarios like that. I think we need to use that more, be a bit more smart with the way we play. The mistakes we made, could we have been a bit more direct, hit better balls, but just learn from it. We’ve got Friday, we’ve got Monday, we’ll be there and give it our best.”

94 Tamworth supporters were in attendance on Saturday, with Dyson thankful for the numbers.
