After Friday night’s late-late show forged a first Enterprise National League win of the season for Andy Peaks Lambs he took his squad to Huish Park for their Bank Holiday Monday kick off again Billy Rowley’s Glovers, unbeaten in their first four matches. But Tamworth were denied a point by a late offside flag and so returned to Staffordshire after suffering defeat on the road.

Peaks made 3 changes to the starting eleven that defeated Worthing, with Oliver Dyson, Jake Hutchinson and game winner Morgan Roberts coming in as the side debuted the smart new cream and claret away kit.
The home side got the game underway and had a great chance in the fourth minute when Brett McGavin struck from the edge of the area and forced Rhys Lovett into a flying save to push it over the bar for a corner.
And Yeovil split the Lambs defence five minutes later with Johl Powell receiving the ball in the right of the area, but close attention from Luke Fairlamb forced the shot to go high over the bar from a tight angle.
James Daly then got the better of Fairlamb and TJ Bramble raced back to prevent a strike from the right, conceding a corner in the process.
A quick break from The Lambs on 12 minutes saw Bramble burst onto the loose ball in midfield and feed Kieren Donnelly down the left but his cross from the by-line was caught one handed by home keeper Josiah Barker.
But the home side took the lead with just over a quarter of an hour gone, playing some neat passing football into the box allowing Brett McGavin to reserve a pass into the path of Glover’s captain Luke McCormack to slide in and rifle it home past Rhys Lovett. (1-0, 17 mins)
Lovett was brave a minute later, sliding out to deny McCormick’s intended connection with a slide rule pass into the area and at the other end a quality ball to Tom McGlinchey on the edge of the box saw him cut in and force a corner. Although Roberts fired into the back of the net from the right of the area, he was quickly denied by the offside flag.
Hutchison then forced an error at the back of the Yeovil defence but was unable to get a decisive touch to test Barker, but he was clinical with his first time finish for his first league goal on 31 minutes.
Tom McGlinchey threaded the ball through to Bramble down the left and his ball across the box found it’s way to Hutchinson on the right of the area, who duly picked his spot and beat Barker at the near post. (1-1, 31 mins)
Donnely sprinted into the path of a long pass downfield and forced Barker into an acrobatic stop to deny his angled strike on 38 minutes but Jordan Cullinane-Liburd couldn’t direct his header, from the corner, on target.
Hutchinson then pulled a short pass back for Roberts as one minute added time was shown, but his snapshot hit the side netting and meant the first half ended all square.

The Lambs restarted the game, attacking the end where the travelling faithful were housed, albeit by the corner flag, and there was a half chance for Dyson six minutes in, when Donnelly set him up but his curling shot was always drifting wide of the mark.
However, the home side were back in front on 53 when Mason Obeng picked up a pass down the left from McGavin, and his right footed shot took a deflection off Joe Rye to send it past Lovett and into the far corner (2-1, 52 mins)
After two handball calls in the Tamworth area were not entertained by referee Scholes, play raced to the other end and Barker was forced to deny Donnelly on the hour after he beat the last defender to cut a low on-target shot from the right of the area.
Yeovil extended their lead even further on 65 minutes though when Daly made headway into the area and another deflection, this time off the defensive lunge of Hollis, looped it over Lovett and into the net (3-1, 66 mins)
The Lambs were back in the game quickly, reducing the arrears three minutes later through Donnelly’s finish from a yard out after the home defence failed to deal with Luke Fairlamb’s cross into the box from the left wing (3-2, 69 mins)
Peaks made three changes with a quarter of an hour remaining and Barker was called into action on 76 when sub Ben Acquaye found Donnelly in the box, forcing the keeper to push his snapshot away from danger.
Yeovil countered immediately and nearly added to their tally when a deflected effort off the boot of McGavin via Hollis’ intervention / reaction prevented the former from finding the back of the net on 79 minutes.
Acquaye was then denied the equaliser after cutting into the box and beating his man, only to see his shot knocked away and behind for a corner, and from the flagkick Tamworth came close but not close enough with Barker smothering the loose ball before it could be scrambled over the line.
The Lambs did find the back of the net on 89 minutes after Barker failed to hold onto a high punt from Lovett into the area which defender Norville-Williams had headed up into the air. When the ball looped goalward off the keeper’s gloves Hollis gratefully volleyed home but celebrations were short lived as was ruled out by a delayed offside call by the officials.
In added time McGavin spotted Lovett off his line in the sixth of seven minutes attempting an audacious lob from just inside the Lambs half, but it was not high enough to beat the Tamworth keeper.
And in the final act of the end of end tie Lovett was left to face a penalty in the final minute. McCormick had gone through one on one but was brought down by the keeper as he cut past him, and Lovett was booked for his misdemeanour. McCormick dusted himself down but powerfully struck the left hand upright with his spot kick and the ball rebounded away shortly before the final whistle blew.
