Tamworth Football Club is delighted to confirm the arrivals of Joshua Bailey and Oliver Dyson ahead of the 2026/27 season in the National League.
Dyson joins the club off the back of an impressive season at Spennymoor Town, where he featured 41 times in the National League North. The versatile midfielder spent two years at Spennymoor, where he reached the FA Trophy final at Wembley in 2025. The former Huddersfield Town academy prospect adds experience to Andy Peaks' side, having already made 96 appearances in the National League.

Dyson said: "I've had a lot of good memories in football so far! Winning the National League North play offs with York City, winning the National League with Barrow AFC and playing at Wembley in the FA Trophy final. Hopefully I'll be adding another memory this season!"
When describing what the fans can expect from him this season, he added: "I'll be looking to bring energy, character and passion in the middle of the pitch. I just can't wait to get going in what is an exciting new era for the club and who knows what we can achieve!"
Manager, Andy Peaks believes Dyson is a great addition ahead of the new campaign, saying: "Oliver is a great lad with a fantastic attitude and I’m so pleased to have him with us this year! He is a quality player and his energy and experience will be invaluable to us this year, having already had success at this level."
Also joining Andy Peaks' squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign is Joshua Bailey. He began his football career in the youth academy at Wolverhampton Wanderers before joining Shrewsbury Town where he made his professional, EFL debut in League One, a moment he calls "the highlight of his football career so far."
The highly talented left back joins Tamworth off the back of an incredible season at Worcester City where he quickly became a fan favourite, sweeping the Player's Player, Supporters' Player and Young Player of the Season awards.

Bailey said: "I can't wait to get started! I'm hoping to bring success to the club, bringing hard work and commitment to make sure we get what we want from this season. My message to the fans is - I can't wait to meet you all throughout pre season and there's a lot to look forward to this season. Let's make it one to remember!"
The manager is certainly excited to have Bailey as part of his squad this season, saying: "Joshua had a whole host of clubs after him this summer after a remarkable season last campaign at Worcester City. He is a young and dynamic full back and I'm really pleased to have him with us."
Both players are looking to make an immediate impact as we start to prepare for the upcoming season with the whole squad fully focused on kicking off the first campaign under new owners DGI in fine style.
