Two Fresh Faces Join the Lambs Ahead of 2025/26 National League Campaign

Harvey Sayer and Tyler Roberts become Tamworth’s first summer signings as Andy Peaks strengthens his squad for another big season!

Tamworth FC are delighted to confirm the arrivals of Harvey Sayer and Tyler Roberts as the club’s first two signings ahead of the 2025/26 season in the National League.

Harvey Sayer: Creativity and Goals from the Wing

Winger Harvey Sayer joins the Lambs after an impressive two-year spell at Lowestoft Town, where he netted over 50 goals and earned widespread attention for his attacking flair and dead-ball prowess. The left-footed attacker, who prefers to operate off the right wing, began his career at Norwich City before earning a scholarship and professional contract with Colchester United.

“I’d like to say I’m an exciting player. I love attacking, creating chances and getting at defenders,” Sayer said. “Set pieces are also a big strength of mine, and I’m hoping to chip in with both goals and assists.”

After shining in the FA Cup last season — where he finished as the second top scorer in the competition with eight goals — Sayer caught the eye of Tamworth’s coaching staff.

“I had a positive conversation with Andy Peaks. He told me about the team he’s building and the close-knit group here. That really appealed to me,” he added. “Tamworth is a step up for me, and I’m determined to prove I can succeed at this level.”

Tyler Roberts: Local Talent Returns Home

Also joining the ranks is Tyler Roberts, a pacey and direct winger who arrives from AFC Fylde after spending the bulk of his development at Wolverhampton Wanderers from the age of 8 to 21.

“I’m a local lad — I’m from Brownhills — so playing for a club where my family can come and support me is massive,” Roberts said. “Tamworth impressed a lot of people last year with how well they did in the league and FA Cup, and I want to be a part of that momentum.”

Having gained valuable senior experience during loan spells at Doncaster Rovers and Fylde, Roberts now looks forward to regular football and further development in the National League.

“I’m someone who brings pace and directness — I want to excite fans, create chances and score goals. I know the toughness of this league, and I’m ready for the challenge.”

With both players adding attacking firepower and youthful energy to the squad, Tamworth boss Andy Peaks continues to build a dynamic side ready to push further in the club’s ambitious National League campaign.
