MEET THE LATEST LAMBS RECRUIT

MEET THE LATEST LAMBS RECRUIT

Tamworth FC29 Jun - 18:00

Tamworth continue to bolster their squad ahead of 2026/27 campaign.

Striker Kieren Donnelly is the latest signing to be unveiled by busy Tamworth Boss Andy Peaks who’s now brought in 11 new recruits since the takeover - an entire team of new faces!

Goal getter Donnelly joins the club for an undisclosed fee and likens his energetic, non-stop style to that of Leicester City Premier League winner Jamie Vardy.
There’ll certainly be plenty of parties if the the former Boston United man reproduces his form from an impressive loan spell at Kidderminster Harriers last season.

He scored eight goals in 15 appearances in the National League North including goals in the play off semi-final and the final to fire the Harriers up into the National League.

Donnelly had a whole host of clubs after his signature but it was Tamworth that he wanted to call home, saying: “I can’t wait to represent Tamworth and play in front of the fans, let’s hope for another successful season.

“My favourite player is Lionel Messi but style wise I’d compare myself to Jamie Vardy. I’ve got loads of energy and score quite a few goals too. I’m really hoping to continue scoring and hopefully contribute to bringing this club closer to the EFL. Be ready for the backflip celebrations! Come On You Lambs!”

Peaks is thrilled to have another striker in his arsenal for the upcoming campaign explaining: “I’m really pleased to get Kieren across the line as I have been having conversations with him about joining Tamworth for a while now.

“Even before his loan to Kidderminster it was something we both wanted to happen, he’s quite rightly had lots of interest over the summer and the fact he’s chosen Tamworth is a real coup for the club.

“His work rate and energy levels have been paramount to his rise into the National League, he never gives defenders a minute.

“I’m certain that with his attitude and the type of goals he scores and creates he will soon become a fan favourite.”
