Tamworth return to The Lamb this Saturday evening for a 5.30pm kick-off against Boston United in front of the live DAZN cameras. It will be the Lambs’ first televised game of the season and another opportunity to build on a strong run of form under manager Andy Peaks.

Following impressive recent performances and an unbeaten run in the league, Peaks’ side will be aiming to continue their momentum in what promises to be another competitive fixture at The Lamb.

Peaks Speaks

Manager Andy Peaks is looking forward to the challenge and has called on his side to maintain their standards in front of a home crowd.

“Although the FA Cup is a standout game for us, picking up home league points is my top priority,” he said. “We’ve had a good week extending our unbeaten run and I’ve been really pleased with the attitude and togetherness the lads have shown.

“It’s great to be back at The Lamb for what will be a big occasion. We know Boston will be well-prepared, and we’ll need to be at our best to get the result we want.”

Peaks also confirmed that Tyler Roberts remains a doubt with a knee injury, while Alfie Bates has returned to full fitness after featuring in midweek. Joe Ryley continues to impress after stepping up to the senior side in recent weeks.

About the Opposition

Managed by Graham Coughlan, Boston United arrive in Staffordshire looking to respond positively after a 4-0 home defeat to Morecambe on Tuesday night. That result ended a five-game unbeaten run for the Pilgrims, who had previously recorded two wins and three draws.

Boston’s squad includes several experienced players such as goalkeeper Rhys Lovett, defenders Michael Kelly and Ben Grist, and forward Jacob Hazel, who has been a consistent goalscorer since joining from Darlington.

The Pilgrims have ambitions of challenging near the top of the Enterprise National League this season and will be keen to get back on track in front of the cameras.

Previous Meetings

Since both clubs’ promotion to the Enterprise National League, they have met twice. The first encounter of the 2 last season saw the points shared in a 1–1 draw at Boston in August, before Tamworth earned a convincing 3–0 home win in January. Both sides are known for their competitive spirit and Saturday’s fixture is expected to be no different.

Matchday Programme

The official matchday programme for the Boston United fixture is now available online. The edition includes Andy Peaks’ manager notes, historical features, and an in-depth look at the visitors.
