Tamworth travel to Harrogate Town on Saturday at the slightly earlier kick off time of 12:30.
They are looking to record their first win on the road in the 26/27 campaign as, despite coming close at Yeovil and Boreham Wood, they were not victorious.
Tamworth’s last league game saw them draw 2-2 with Boston United at the H.D. Ricketts Community Stadium, whilst they come into the Harrogate game off the back of a defeat to Middlesbrough PL2 in the National League Cup.
The opposition
Harrogate Town are back in the fifth tier after being relegated last season, spending six seasons in League Two. Their 23rd place finish last season sealed their fate.
Nicknamed the Sulphurites, Harrogate Town are aiming for an immediate return to the EFL, and have started the season in fine fashion, picking up points in all but one of their games.
They are currently unbeaten at home in 26/27, having played three games at the Exercise Stadium this campaign, with their last result coming on the road at Scunthorpe United. Goals from Will McGowan and Shaun McCoulsky saw the visitors walk away with all three points.
Who’s in the dugout?
Simon Weaver has the proud record of being the longest serving manager in the top five divisions, having led Harrogate Town since 2009.
One to watch
Ciaran McGuckin has spent time on loan at several National League clubs, but made the permanent switch to Harrogate this year. He has scored two goals so far in the National League campaign.
Jack Muldoon has been at the club for a number of seasons. Aged 37, he still makes regular appearances for the Sulphurites.
Shawn McCoulsky, another forward, was recruited in 2025 from Maidenhead United. He’s spent numerous seasons on loan in the past, but has shown his goalscoring prowess at many of his clubs. He scored in the last game away at Scunthorpe United.

Peaks Speaks on Harrogate
“We keep looking at positives. For me, I want to defend better. To go there, we’re going to have to defend better collectively. They’ve got a good team. They can mix it up, they can pass it, they can mix it up, they can squeeze you, they’re clinical. We know we’re going to have to play a lot better defensively, so we’ve got to dust ourselves down after tonight.”
