Tamworth make the short Boxing Day journey to face Solihull Moors in the National League, with the two sides level on points heading into the festive fixture.

The Lambs currently sit 13th in the table on 31 points, just one place and goal difference behind Solihull in 12th. With both teams having taken two wins from their last five league matches, this local encounter promises to be a tightly fought contest as Andy Peaks’ side look to close out 2025 on a positive note.

League Form

After 23 league matches, Tamworth have recorded nine wins and will be aiming to add to that tally during a busy festive period. Solihull, meanwhile, have also shown flashes of form but remain inconsistent, making this Boxing Day clash an important opportunity for both sides to gain momentum heading into the New Year.

Head-to-Head

Tamworth and Solihull Moors have a long-standing history across league and cup competitions, with 14 previous meetings between the two clubs.

The Lambs hold the advantage in the fixture, having recorded seven victories, alongside three draws, while Solihull Moors have won four times. Tamworth have enjoyed success both home and away, including league victories at Damson Park and several memorable cup performances at The Lamb.

The most recent meeting came earlier this year in the National League, when Solihull claimed a narrow 2–1 win. Historically, however, meetings between the sides have been closely contested, often decided by fine margins.
