The Prestige Group Stadium
Enterprise National League
Tickets available here
Tamworth arrive at the Prestige Group Stadium off the back of a steady start to the National League season, picking up points that underline their competitiveness at this level. The Lambs have made the Lamb Ground a difficult place for visitors already this term, while also showing they can grind out results on the road. With wins on the board and some narrow defeats against established sides, Andy Peaks’ men will see this trip as another chance to measure themselves against one of the division’s leading clubs.
Hartlepool, meanwhile, have had a mixed beginning to their campaign after finishing one place behind the Lambs last season. Pools opened with back-to-back victories but have since found consistency harder to come by, with defeats against promotion rivals balancing out some strong home displays. Simon Grayson’s side remain within touching distance of the play-off places, and they will view Saturday’s clash as an opportunity to get back on track in front of their own supporters.

Opposition Stadium View
Saturday’s hosts, Hartlepool United, play their home fixtures at the Prestige Group Stadium, a ground with a rich history and a strong identity within English football. Situated close to the North Sea coastline, the stadium has long been a focal point for the town’s sporting community and continues to provide a passionate backdrop for Pools supporters.
The ground currently holds just over 7,800 spectators, with a mix of seating and terracing that helps generate a lively atmosphere on matchdays. The famous Mill House Stand runs along one side of the pitch, while the Town End remains a favourite spot for the most vocal home fans. Visiting supporters are usually housed in the Rink End, offering a clear view of the action from behind the goal.
Modern sponsorship has seen the ground renamed the Prestige Group Stadium, but for many it remains steeped in tradition, having hosted countless memorable matches over the decades. With its close-knit design and passionate crowd, it promises to be another challenging away day for the Lambs.

Head-to-Head
Recent meetings between Tamworth and Hartlepool have produced some closely fought contests, with little to separate the two sides. Early last season, Pools edged a narrow 1–0 victory at the Lamb Ground thanks to a late strike, while the return fixture at the Prestige Group Stadium finished 2–2 after Tamworth fought back from behind before being pegged back in the second half. The two clubs also met in the FA Trophy last winter, when Tamworth held their nerve to knock Hartlepool out on penalties after a 1–1 draw.
The history between the two teams even stretches back to the 2005 FA Cup, when the Lambs famously won 2–1 at Victoria Park to claim one of the standout results in their history. With the majority of encounters decided by fine margins, Saturday’s clash looks set to follow the same pattern, with Tamworth aiming to build on past successes and Hartlepool eager to make home advantage count.

Last Time Out
Tamworth
Tamworth’s latest outing at the Lamb Ground ended in a 1–1 draw with Wealdstone. Wealdstone struck first after the break, with former Lambs player Nathan Tshikuna rifling a shot into the top corner. Tamworth responded when Kennedy Digie nodded home a well-timed header to level matters. Despite dominating the second half and creating chances in the closing stages, the Lambs couldn’t find a winner, leaving both sides with a share of the spoils.
Hartlepool
Hartlepool edged a narrow 1–0 victory away at Gateshead in what was a tight affair. After a goalless first half, Besart Topalloj broke the deadlock in the 74th minute, and Pools saw the rest of the game out amid pressure from their hosts. The win was significant, as it marked Hartlepool’s first victory on Tyneside since 1954.
