New signing Kieren Donnelly returns to face former club Halesowen Town FC this Saturday - the scene of one of his most memorable goals and celebrations!
The striker scored a late winner for Halesowen and marked the moment with what became a trademark backflip celebration.
Kieren recalled: “About two years ago when I was playing for Halesowen, I scored in the 96th minute and did a backflip and ever since that it’s been the go to.”
Donnelly spent two and a half years at the West Midlands side so it'll be a great moment as he returns to face his old club for the first time.
When asked about the celebration Lambs boss Andy Peaks said: “Yeah absolutely (I’d like to see it) I’m sure he’d love to score and especially back at The Grove!”
This Saturdays hosts Halesowen are members of the Southern League - Premier Central division, the third step of non-league football. The two time FA vase winners were founded in 1873 and are a profound club in the non league pyramid.
The Lambs take the trip across the midlands off the back of a 1-2 defeat at home against Aston Villa and will be looking for a reaction this weekend!
