Tamworth FC are proud to announce that Dan Creaney has been named the Vanarama National League Player of the Month, after a sensational run of form that’s captured the imagination of Lambs fans and helped drive the team’s continued momentum.
In the month of March, Creaney was in unstoppable form, scoring 6 goals and providing 3 assists in just 6 league appearances. When you factor in all competitions, those numbers rise to a staggering 8 goals and 4 assists in 7 games — a true demonstration of his quality, consistency, and importance to the side.
This phenomenal spell has also seen Dan reach an incredible personal milestone: 100 goals in a Tamworth shirt. It’s a landmark achievement that places him firmly among the club’s modern greats — and it’s no surprise he’s earned cult hero status among the fans.
Tamworth manager Andy Peaks praised Creaney’s contribution, stating:
"Really pleased for Creans, I think everyone whose watched him this season will appreciate what a handful he’s been and I’m delighted that scoring the goals he did in march has given him the recognition he deserves, he was delighted last night when I told him about the award, he’s been brilliant for me and the team since I arrived at the club"
Creaney’s mix of physicality, composure, and sharp instinct in front of goal has made him a nightmare for defenders and a joy to watch from the terraces. Whether it’s powering home headers, picking out teammates with intelligent passes, or burying chances under pressure, he continues to raise the standard week in, week out.
As we approach the business end of the season, the entire club is inspired by Dan’s form and determination. With everything still to play for, there’s a real belief within the squad, the staff, and the supporters that something special is on the horizon — and Creaney will no doubt be at the heart of it.
Congratulations, Dan — from everyone at Tamworth FC. A truly deserved honour for a player who continues to give his all for the badge.
