Academy Trio Continue Progress with the First Team

Tamworth FC22 Oct 2025 - 13:00

"An exciting time for the club"

Tamworth FC is proud to highlight the continued development of three talented academy players who have recently been involved with the First Team setup.

From left to right:
• Courtney-Joshua Nyakuhwa – A promising fullback who has been involved with the First Team setup and made his senior debut last night in the National League Cup against Burnley PL2, contributing to an impressive 4–0 victory.
• Tevin Myers – A versatile defender who is comfortable both at fullback and centre-back, and has been gaining valuable experience training regularly with the First Team.
• Adam Jasper – A hardworking box to box midfielder, providing stability and goal threats to midfield, who has also been involved in First Team training and is currently thriving on loan at Whitchurch Alport.

Tamworth FC takes great pride in the ongoing progress of our academy players and the club’s commitment to providing a clear pathway for young talent to experience First Team football. The development of these players is a testament to the hard work of the academy staff and the dedication shown by each individual.

U23 Head Coach MJ Hallett added:

“From my perspective as U23 Head Coach, it’s been fantastic to see how well the boys have performed — both in our U23 matches and when stepping up to train or play with the First Team. They’ve really impressed with their attitude and quality, and it’s a credit to the hard work they and the staff have put in.

It’s a really exciting time for the club, with these players choosing to come through our Scholarship because of the clear pathway we provide into the First Team environment. The progress we’re seeing is a great reflection of that pathway in action, and the loan moves now give them a brilliant chance to take the next step in their development.”
